Privacy policy

Last updated: June 2026

This site is a personal portfolio for Nicolas Baxter. I keep data collection minimal and never sell it. This page explains what is collected and why.

Analytics

I use PostHog (hosted in the EU) to understand how the site is used: pages viewed, clicks on outbound links, approximate location (country), device type and the site that referred you. By default this runs cookieless — nothing is stored on your device. If you choose “Allow cookies”, I additionally use a cookie to recognise returning visits for more accurate figures. It is never used for advertising, and I don’t try to identify you personally.

Newsletter

If you subscribe, your email address is stored and managed by Beehiiv to send the newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email.

Contact messages

When you use the contact form, the name, email and message you provide are sent to me (via the email provider Resend) and stored so I can reply. I use them only to respond to you.

Cookies & your choice

Analytics runs cookieless by default — no cookies, nothing stored on your device. A cookie is only set if you choose “Allow cookies”; declining keeps analytics fully cookieless. You can change your mind any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser, which brings the choice back.

Who processes your data

The services that may process the above on my behalf are PostHog (analytics), Beehiiv (newsletter), Resend (contact email delivery), and the hosting/database providers that run this site. Each acts under its own privacy terms.

Your rights

You can ask me to access or delete the personal data I hold about you (your newsletter subscription or contact messages). Email [email protected] and I’ll take care of it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date above will be updated. Questions? Reach me at [email protected].
